Activities 4 the weekend

This weekend could be a little different from the long dull ones that I have been experiencing for the last couple of months. Coz there has been lots of plans to go to a museum and probably to a bar as well with a couple of my friends. On top of it my colleague and room-mate has got the mega-hit movie Dharmapuri. So, expecting an action-packed (and fun-filled) week-end. More updates later.

First Release

It was nearly six months on client's location before I could facilitate an user acceptance testing. Well, it was not for the main application which I maintain but for one another small application that came into our kitty. I was kind of nervous. We had made few deliveries when I was in offshore but it was all only to folks who were at onsite. But this time it was like I was the point of contact for the application and any screw-up in this UAT was going to directly affect me, my team-mates and the company at large. It went on reasonably decently except for one major requirement on which the user came back very hard. Since, it was my first assignment, I accepeted to all his comments and gave my word to come back the next day. The customer then accepted the changes and signed-off for the release.
